Josh and the SAPSASA team won the Ricky Ponting Shield and became National 12 and under boys champions beating Queensland in a close final. Queensland batted first and made a competitive 103 off their 40 overs. In reply South Australia made the target with 4 balls to spare with Josh Bevan (27) and Ethan Trewartha (27*) sharing the games biggest partnership of 45 with both hitting the top score of the match of 27.
The South Australian boys went through the tournament undefeated, having tied against NSW and beating Victoria, Western Australia and Queensland. Josh also top scored in the games against Victoria and Western Australia.
